2. Scope of the Quality Management System
2.1 Scope
ABC PRC operates the ISO 9001:2000 system under the following scope:

2.2 Justification of Exclusion
There is no design and development activity carried out in ABC PRC, and therefore ISO 9001:2000 clause 7.3 requirements are excluded from the Quality Management System stated in this manual.
The reason for the exclusion is that Product Design and Development is done in other sites of ABC group apart from ABC PRC. Once the design is confirmed, the manufacturing processes will be transferred to ABC PRC by using the Product Transfer Process to ensure that ABC PRC has the ability to provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements (Please refer to Section 7.1 of this manual).
